Taffy(Decima)
She uses her front paws as tools to hold on to our hand/arm if she wants something ( pulls it towards us to do something), and uses her paws to hold things she wants ( bone, ball etc.) We have never seen a dog do this before.
Understands an amazing ( well 20-30 words!) number of English. squirrel, kitty. bird, ball, bone, walk, and family members name. If I say " take the ball to Daddy", she can do simple commands. Of course, she also knows training words.... and does them when she wants to... sit, stay, down, etc!!
Learning more words everyday. We have not started reading yet, though!!!
When she wants something from us.. she goes up and makes a gutteral sound in her throat... very softly, but expressing herself. I have never had a dog do that before.
Anyway, those are some interesting comments. Taffy is very smart, and gets along well with all dogs and people. Every one asks where we got her!
